The Global Goals Jam Case Competition at the Smith School of Business
Next month, the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University is hosting an exciting event: the Global Goals Jam Case Competition. The Global Goals Jam is an event held around the world to draw attention to the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals for 2030, with an emphasis on how these goals can be achieved locally.
This year’s event is a hybrid case competition, with the first qualifying round taking place virtually on August 31-2. Participant teams qualifying for the final round will be held at the Smith School of Business on September 17.
This year, the case will be centred around Goal #16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions. Generous prizes of up to $1,500 will be awarded to two successful teams.
The Kingston Global Goals Jam aims to bring together creative minds from across Canada’s great business schools to tackle the case with solutions that can be transferable to communities across the country. All undergraduate to graduate level students are welcome to join in on the discussion on how to design local long-term solutions collectively.
