Religious Accommodations at Friday’s Convocation

The McMaster Muslim Students’ Association would like to share some information from the Office of the Registrar regarding a religious accommodation for an upcoming convocation ceremony.

Graduands of the DeGroote School of Business, and their guests, attending the 2:30 p.m. convocation on Friday, June 14 are now able to request accommodations to their check-in procedure in order to attend Jumu’ah prayer.

The convocation, which will be held at the First Ontario Concert Hall, is short distance of 900 m away from the Hamilton Downtown Mosque, where Jumu’ah will begin at 1:30 pm and conclude by 2:15 pm inshaAllah (God willing).

If you are a graduand attending the above convocation, please check your email for a message from the Office of the Registrar. To request the accommodation for Jumu’ah, follow the instructions indicated in the email by Friday June 7 @ 12:00 p.m. (deadline has been extended).
