Open Circle panel and reflection on resilience
Tuesday, September 27, 6 – 8 p.m., LRW 1003
Whether transitioning from an online learning environment to an entirely in-person one or to the start of a new academic year, new challenges and opportunities lie ahead. This brings with it its fair share of excitement, new hope, anxieties and uncertainty. Some of us have not yet had a ”traditional” university life. So questions like “Am I prepared for what lies ahead?” “ How will I make new friends and adjust to this new normal?” “Will I be able to cope with the in-person university life?” may come to mind. If you are wondering how you can best prepare yourself for new challenges, join us as we hear from our panelists who have been part of Open Circle, sharing their journeys about building resilience through adversity. Also don’t forget to chime in and learn about Open Circle through hearing participants’ experiences and through reflective activities to sample Open Circle’s Reflection Circles and Courses.
“Resilience is seen as more than simple recovery from insult, rather it can be defined as positive growth or adaptation following periods of homeostatic disruption” ~ Laura Campbell-Sills
