DeGroote’s Analytical Insights’ Final Event Of The Year Is Coming Soon

DeGroote’s Analytical Insights (DAI) is reaching the end of its highly successful first year. DAI was founded only this school year, yet has been able to host various incredible events throughout its time. This comes to a conclusion with DAI’s end of year event: Excel at Excel: A Data-Driven Scavenger Hunt.

This event will give students the chance to use the knowledge they have gained throughout DAI events this year to earn some cash prizes. The event incorporates important DAI principles such as the importance of Data Analytics in various industries and getting students one step closer to being industry ready. These principles will be the foundations of the event, which will hope to further teach students as well as provide them with a practical fun experience.

Teams of 2-3 students will participate in a DAI scavenger hunt where they can learn and demonstrate various data Excel functions to solve fun problems and have the chance to reflect on their findings.

The knowledge and skills from this event are designed to be transferable to various industries and practical situations. Participants will go to multiple stations where they will learn various necessary functions and formulas. The team with the most insightful findings and correct Excel functions wins $300, with the 2nd place winners receiving $200, and the 3rd place winners receiving $100.
