Course Registration Information: Business Analytics Specialization
As you register for fall 2020 / winter 2021, we have had some inquiries about course offerings pertaining to the four tracks within the Business Analytics specialization.
In normal circumstances, we offer a selection of courses each year from across our MBA Program list of 130 approved courses. There are many reasons why a course may be offered one year, but not the next (e.g., student demand, instructor availability).
However, based on student input and expected registration, we are adding four additional courses to the fall timetable:
• O721 – Inventory Management and Production Planning
• O735 – Strategic Procurement
• K724 – eBusiness Strategies
• K725 – Business Process Management
(Note, as with any course, we reserve the right to cancel courses with low enrollment.)
Furthermore, we have received special permission from the School of Graduate Studies to offer MBA students greater flexibility to achieve the Business Analytics Specialization for the 20-21 academic year. In addition to the six below required courses, you have the option of selecting three electives from ANY of the four tracks.
Business Analytics | Required Courses (all six must be completed)
• BUSINESS K723 / Data Mining and Business Intelligence
• BUSINESS O701 / Modeling and Analytics using Spreadsheets
• BUSINESS O711 / Predictive Modelling and Analytics
• BUSINESS O715 / Simulation for Business Analytics
• BUSINESS P700 / Business, Government and the Global Environment
• BUSINESS P720 / Strategic Management
Collectively, we believe these changes will support our students – whether you are pursuing the specialization or selecting an elective.
