Cohere Pride Camp: Navigating Tech through a Queer Lens
It’s time to celebrate the intersection of tech, generative models, and queerness!
Whether you want to expand your knowledge, make new connections, or have a great time, Cohere Pride Camp is the perfect place to do it all.
With a theme centered around “Navigating tech through a queer lens,” the event promises to be inclusive, informative, and, most importantly, a safe space for everyone. While navigating the tech industry as a queer individual can be challenging, we’re committed to creating an environment where everyone can feel supported and welcomed.
The afternoon will include the following festivities.
4:00 pm – Opening remarks by Cohere’s CEO and Co-founder, Aidan Gomez (he/him), and VP of People Operations, Nora Beatty (she/her).
4:15 pm – Queer Journeys, Panel Discussion with Ekaterina Svetlakova (she/her), Software Engineer at Cohere, Calan Breckon (he/him), Business Coach/Consultant
5:00 pm – Breakout sessions
Room 1: The Queer Hustle; A space for discussions and support around entrepreneurial endeavours from a queer perspective
Room 2: Queering it up at work; A space to foster discussion on LGBTQ+ inclusion in the workplace
Room 3: A look back on 2SLGBTQIA+ History; A space to recognize the trailblazers who paved the way for us
6:00 pm – Product feedback workshop
7:00 pm – Dinner
7:30 pm – Special guest performances, including Stand-up by Anasimone George (she/her), Brandon Ash-Mohammed (he/him), Courtney Gilmour (she/her) and Drag Performance by Cava Gurl (she/they)
8:30 pm – Event concludes
