Apply To Be a Season 17 MARS Apprentice
Will you choose to use your skills to stand out from your peers and show that you are driven to succeed? Will you choose to be a better leader? Will you choose to unleash your creativity? Will you choose to continue to learn outside of the classroom? Will you choose MARS Apprentice?
What is MARS Apprentice?
- MARS Apprentice is an experiential learning program unique to the DeGroote School of Business and the only one of its kind in Canada.
- Each year, twelve upper-year students are selected and are placed into groups of six.
- The two teams compete over eight weeks to solve real-world business problems in the areas of marketing, advertising, retail, and sales, presented by industry Learning Partners: Microsoft, PepsiCo, Jan Kelley, Canadian Tire Bank, and TELUS.
What can students expect?
For the past 16 years, MARS Apprentice has challenged students to exceed their own expectations. Apart from applying marketing concepts learned in the classroom and learning about the thought processes used in industry, students learn how to manage team conflict, how to give and receive constructive feedback, how to lead others through ambiguous situations, how to prioritize tasks and manage time, and how to recognize and move past their own self-prejudices. By challenging themselves, Apprentices stand out from other students and often receive internships that lead to full-time positions with our Learning Partners.
If you are someone who is looking for an eye-opening, humbling, and transformative experience, then choose to apply to MARS Apprentice.
Applications are NOW OPEN and will be closing Friday, March 19, so it is time to take action!
