AIMA Canada University Case Competition
AIMA Canada (Alternative Investment Management Association) is hosting its annual national university case competition to help Canadian university students learn about the alternative investment industry, in partnership with CAIA and sponsored by AGF Investments.
Presented by the Community Engagement Committee, the AIMA Canada Alternative Investment University Case Competition is an inter-university portfolio design competition, offered to create awareness of alternative investment management functions and careers while facilitating students’ learning and networking opportunities in the field. The challenge will see students work in teams to present solutions for a case study that will focus on incorporating certain alternative investment strategies and asset classes into a traditional institutional investment portfolio.
The competition will expose students to the benefits, challenges, and risks of incorporating alternative investments into investment portfolios. Students will gain familiarity with an area of financial services that is rapidly growing in importance and size.
