Majid joined the PhD program at DeGroote in September 2010. His primary research interest is in logistics/transportation networks, with a particular focus on capacity expansion problems with interactions among permanent, spot market and contract capacities.
His current research projects include: Railway network capacity expansion under uncertainty, and optimal location and capacity expansion of emergency response equipment for oil-spill.
