His research focuses mainly on two topics: Work-family conflict and leader-follower relationships. Work-family conflict refers to the incompatibility between one’s work and family obligations, which is related to a host of problems, such as reduced employee health, satisfaction at work and at home, and job performance, as well as increased absenteeism and intentions to quit their job.

Thesis Title: Understanding the links between work commitment constructs.

Dr. Lapierre is currently a Professor of Organizational Behaviour and a Telfer Research Fellow at the University of Ottawa’s Telfer School of Management. His research focuses on work-family conflict and on leader-follower relationships. His work has been published in several journals, such as the Journal of Management, the Journal of Vocational Behaviour, Personnel Psychology, the Journal of International business Studies, the Journal of Occupational Health Psychology, and the Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology.
