Maddy Burley joined the DeGroote School of Business in a volunteer role in 1996.  Within months, she established herself as a critical contributor of the MBA team and joined the school formally as a Program Assistant. Maddy’s unique ability to connect with students led to multiple promotions, culminating in her current role as Academic Advisor (2006).  During this time, she has supported over 5500 students achieve graduation and overseen 4 versions of the MBA curriculum!

The impact that Maddy has had on supporting students in pursuing their dreams, or ensuring they had the supports available to dream big, cannot be quantified. Mentioning Maddy Burley to any MBA alumni, Faculty, or staff member is likely to generate the largest smile and sharing of fondest memories of their time with DeGroote. We hope to celebrate her contributions by doing just this – sharing our memories – while wearing our hockey jerseys, at an informal “open house”.

Drop in to Alumni Hall on June 22 to share with Maddy the impact she may have had on your time at McMaster and the DeGroote School of Business.
