Corporate and clinical psychologist, Eva Klein, will discuss the personal and organizational challenges people are facing and how to learn, grow, and be more resilient when addressing them.

Learn how to be your best self by practicing self-care and engaging with your family, friends, and colleagues in fruitful ways. Discover how to engage your team in an online environment to maintain productivity when working from home. Eva will share tips on how to maintain momentum and minimize burnout while working from home.

Discussion and audience Q&A will be moderated by Dr. Vishwanath Baba, Professor of Human Resources and Management for the DeGroote School of Business.

Keynote Speaker

Eva Klein, BSC, MSC, MA, PHD, Professor, Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences

Dr. Klein is a corporate and clinical psychologist. Prior to her position at McMaster, she was a Professor of Human Resources at the Haskayne School of Business , University of Calgary for 5 years and prior to that a Teaching Fellow at the London Business School. Her teaching interests are in Leadership, Organizational Change and Compensation. She has taught at the graduate, undergraduate and executive level.

Dr. Klein has worked as an executive coach for over 3 decades. She has taught in executive development programs for clients such as Investors Group, China Mobile, CIBC, RBC, and CSX and coached many senior executives to achieve their best. She has consulted on compensation issues, pay for performance and on a myriad of organizational change issues. She is well-versed in numerous personality profiling instruments and has been effective in helping to select the right senior executives for corporations.

She has been an Associate at the Center for Creative Leadership and the Niagara institute for many years. She is a Certified Trainer in both the Influencer and Crucial Conversation workshops of Vital Smarts. She is also a Certified Psychologist in Ontario as well a Member of the British Psychological Association.

Moderator

Vishwanath Baba, Professor, Human Resources and Management

Dr. Baba specializes in stress management, development management, management skill development and management training in the developing world. He has been a consultant to the Canadian International Development Agency, International Development Research Centre, and Swedish International Development Agency, to mention a few. His research interests cover management theory, evidence-based management, work attitudes, employee well being, stress, depression, burnout, absenteeism, and turnover.
